I thought I would try some new sculpting ideas and try my hand at home made Plague bearers. I made them less spindly and beefier than the regular models. I do have to say sculpting nurgle stuff is probably the most fun to work on. I might make molds of these guys.

After seeing some sculpting videos on Youtube and tried my hand at using polymer clay to make an original piece. So I started making this using a Green stuff foundation with Primo clay layered on top.Its definitely a more forgiving medium than green stuff due to the open work time. I took my time with him and I was going for a kind of Infinity look.

MyTyphus Herald of Nurgle

After a long break I finally revisited my Typhus sculpt and finally completed it. I pretty much tore down the original and started over with the goal of making him bigger and badder than everyone else.  He stands well over 55mm and really stands out next to regular troops.

Typhus sculpting project

A while back I started a large sized terminator sculpt with the hopes of using it as a sculpting armature for true scale terminators. I then tried to make him into a figure of Horus. Well now he's this, my version of typhus. He's much taller than a terminator. I heavily reworked this figure in the newer post above.

Broadside conversion old to new style

So I took my old style Broadside and stripped him down, tore him apart and rebuilt him. I modeled the suit emulate the new style Broadside. I think it came out ok.

Scratch terminator armature

Here's a scale comparison of a True Scale terminator Blank I'm working on. It may be a tad too tall for a regular Termie but might work for a special character or Primarch project.

Tall Space Marine legs

Hi all. I've started working on a set of larger scale SM legs with the goal of molding and duplicating them since I always seem to be short of legs. They are slightly taller in comparison by about 5mm. Im trying to make them look different enough from standard legs, changing the feet and knee pads.  The arm was a total fluke from a scrap piece of procreate,  turns out it came out really well. More to come soon.

Converting A Dark Apostle

Its been a while since I posted anything so here are the steps I used to convert the Chosen Champion from Dark Vengeance into a Dark Apostle figure. Check out my Youtube Channel for the full video.

I started out by swapping the head of the Power Mace for the Chaos Marine Icon. It looks more on the lines  of the weapon of the Finecast model to me.I drilled holes into the pieces and pinned the weapon.

Hellbrute assembled

Assembled but still needs to have the joints puttied. I also fashioned auto cannon double barrels for a magnet swap out. I might add more chains to him to bling him out.

Dark Vengeance chaos force assembly.

For snap tite minis these things are talking me forever to assemble. I didn't glue the cloaks onto to the leaders to make painting easier. Hopefully I can get them primed before I fall asleep. Just have three Hell brute left to go.

Crusader conversion

Here's a little something I started the other night, my take on an Inquisitorial Crusader. Reading the Grey Knight Codex I really liked the Henchmen unit and wanted to make up at least two squads just from bitz and models I have in my stores. I used a Cadian chest with scout legs, space marine arms and a pig iron metal trooper head. I've got a few options for the storm shield, both with Inquisition iconography on it.

Finished Draigo Conversion Painted

Here is my Draigo Conversion completely painted up. I used Model Air Silvers for the armor both through
an airbrush for the base coat and also for touch ups. Liquid Gold was used for the gold parts and I free-handed the banner and the details on the tabard and cloak. I tried something a little different to get the blue tint to the armor. I used an alcohol based ink glaze made with just a drop of blue FW ink. It dries fast and blends nicely so the effect is very subtle. The cloak i feel came out particularly well. The secret was brushing on Model Air reds which are so thin they make it very easy to layer. I progressed from Hull Red to Scarlet red then to orange, going back with Hull red to darken the recesses and doing a little wet blending.

One thing you don't see here is I used a small amount of white to strengthen the tip of the sword along with the lightning crackles. It makes the sword pop more.

Inquisitor Coteaz conversion

Hey everyone, I'm back with another conversion project. This time it's Inquisitor Coteaz of the Inquisition. The base figure is a metal Emperor's Champion. The head, back tabard and left arm were sawed off( not fun. The head is the bald Space Marine Terminator head ( I think). The bolt pistol is an old style Bolter with a scope. I used the little beads from a water filter for the rivets on the artificer armor. The Daemon Hammer is the best part, coming from the MaxMini Mechanical Hammer set. Can't say how impressive those bitz are.

3rd Grey Highlander HMG

Hey everyone. So here is my recent contest entry for ye another online competition on the dakka dakka website. I only worked on this for one and a half nights but I got a good amount of votes. I'd like to put more details into the chest plate and the sword, preferably with my airbrush. I think the face is one of the best i've done so far. Thanks to those who voted for my piece.

IG Vostroyan Conversion

Using a pig iron head I made this quick conversion as a test to see how hard it would be. Turns out not that hard at all. This is a basic conversion, it can be fancied up with addtional details.

DreadKnight Conversion

I recently started assembling the Dreadknight i got for Christmas. I wanted to convert him to look more like a giant terminator as I really hate the whole baby carriage thing since its such a lame ripoff of the aliens power loader or even the power suits the the matrix ( I'm sorry but open cockpit power armor? whats the point if the pilot is exposed?) So here's what I've done so far.

I started off with re-positioning the legs. When will GW learn to make models properly so the damn legs/feet ( can you say crisis suit?) don't snap off from the weak little joints? I had to pin them after they started to get wobbly from handling.

I focused on the shoulder armor first, adding plasticard and then greenstuff inquisition icons from a press-mold of a storm shield I custom created.

The next thing i did was use aves fixit sculpt mixed with a little green stuff to flesh out the chest, sculpting in the aegis text "daemon" and "banish". I added a roughed out undersculpt of the head using 5 minute fast epoxy, then going over it with green stuff.

My next step is to do the lower torso armor and add aegis hip plate armor and sculpt over the feet. Then I'll address the arms. I see myself cutting and pinning the sword arm for a more dramatic pose and probably magnetizing the weapon systems.

Tonight's progress, I finished the torso, added the tabard along with big seals, and armor plates to the hips and the groin area. The chain around the waste wraps completely around.

Grey Knights Conversions

This is a five man Grey Knight Squad I've had for the longest time boxed up. I decided I wanted to do some more interesting poses so I did some re-positioning on the legs and tried to get more of a dynamic feel to them.

I started out with the Justicar.  A minor leg repositioning and sculpted a tabbard and cloak. I also added some armor plating to the legs.
